34 — Hans Gremmen, In Between

During his continuous collaborations with artists, a miscellaneous pile kept growing in Hans Gremmen’s studio with collateral material from the proces of making books: misprints, testprints, discarded printed matter, incidental prints, and ephemera. In Between is an attempt to deconstruct and re-organise this paper trail, and is a plea to consider failure as an option. Alongside the presentation in Enter Enter there will be a book: In Between – An Incomplete Index (2001-2026), with a postscript publication The Incomplete Deck, in which the history of playing cards design is documented.
